The Warning, Mexican rock band comprised of three sisters, has been on absolute fire lately as they revel in the success of their fifth studio album, Everything’s Falling, released on August 28, 2026. The trio, formed in 2013 by the Villarreal Vélez sisters, Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra, has blazed through history-making achievements as they recently earned their first #1 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart dated September 5th with “Kerosene,” the new single and album closer for Everything’s Falling. The Warning sets a precedent as they are the first all-women act and Mexican band to earn this coveted top spot. The following week, Everything’s Falling secured the top position on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and the NFL announced the band will headline the halftime show at the Mexico City game between the Vikings and 49ers on Sunday, November 22nd. To say that The Warning is on fire is actually an understatement.
Everything’s Falling, perhaps the band’s widest-ranging album yet,opens with heavy guitar riffs and soaring vocals from guitarist and lead singer, Daniela, on “Ritual” as she proclaims, “I just see death in what is beautiful.” The album also includes“Ego,”which is performed in the trio’s native Spanish, and of course, “Kerosene,” but the breakout stars are “Why Do You Like It When I Cry” and “Bite My Tongue.” Bothtracks are written by the three sisters and include songwriting and producing credits from Latin Grammy nominated artist Anton DeLost, a collaborator the women worked with on their prior studio album, Keep Me Fed, in 2024. While both songs feature the hard rock sound fans expect from The Warning, the sound on “Bite My Tongue” features low-level vocals throughout the intro and verses as the band slams into the louder chorus following a crescendo. Fans are loving both as well, as they take the top song spots on the band’s Apple Music profile after “Kerosene” and “Ritual.”
“Perfect Daughter” has the trio addressing an abuser head on with searing songwriting, while bass player, Alejandra, takes center stage on “Bloodsport” and “Waste Your Time On Me.” Paulina, the band’s drummer, continues to show off her chops as a background vocalist, which she performs simultaneously while wailing on her drum set during live shows. The Warning recently played three shows at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles last weekend, blending hits from Everything’s Falling into their setlist and receiving framed plaques from Billboard on night two for their chart achievement with “Kerosene.”
The band’s next tour stop includes a performance at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, KY on September 18th, followed by a stand-alone stop in Albuquerque, NM the next day and a stadium show planned for Mexico City in February 2027. Fans are watching intently to see when The Warning may release a full tour lineup for Everything’s Falling.
